Each person’s experience of the motor and non-motor symptoms associated with Parkinson’s may be different1. Support is available, including from carers, who may be friends or family, patient support groups, and multidisciplinary teams (MDT)2–4. Patient support groups, like the European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA) or your national or local Parkinson’s association or support group, can provide encouragement and an opportunity to discuss shared experiences and feelings4. MDTs include neurologists, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational and language therapists, and clinical psychologists, all of whom can support and care for you2,3.

Note: Specialists of a multi-disciplinary team for Parkinson’s disease may differ from country to country or regions within a country and may include more or less professionals shown here.
