Eating a well-balanced diet and consuming enough fluids is extremely important1; talking to a dietitian can be helpful when introducing dietary changes. Caffeine has been shown to have possible protective effects in men by reducing their risk of Parkinson’s1,2. In one study, drinking caffeine in coffee, tea or sodas was shown to improve the motor symptoms of Parkinson’s2. However, there is yet no clear evidence to suggest increasing caffeine intake is beneficial in Parkinson’s2,3.
